Harmonica Almanac – February 8

Blues guitar and harmonica and player “Little” Eddie Burns was born on this day in 1928. Burns taught himself how to play the harmonica and built his first guitar out of a broom handle. During his career he played with Sonny Boy Williamson II, Pinetop Perkins, John Lee Hooker and several other Blues greats.
Actor / comedian Robert Klein sometimes plays the harmonica as part of his stand-up routine. Klein was born on this day in 1942.
Soul / folk singer and harmonica player Kenneth McCluskey was born on this day in 1962. McCluskey fronted the Scottish Soul band The Bluebells in the 1980’s. Since the group disbanded McCluskey has worked as a Folk duet with his brother, David.
That’s it for today. Have fun and practice!
