Harmonica Almanac – November 29
Blues singer and harmonica player John Mayall was born on this day in 1933. Mayall put together his first Bluesbreakers band after serving in the British army and over the years the band has included Eric Clapton, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Peter Green and a host of other Blues giants.
Bluegrass guitar, mandolin banjo and harmonica player Bob Paisley began playing harmonica when he was a child. He played in the Southern Mountain Boys from 1964 until 1979, when he founded the group, Southern Grass. Paisley died on this day in 2004.
That’s it for today. Have fun and practice!
